Pune-based DSK Motowheels on Friday launched the signature edition of Hyosung GTS250R dubbed Hyosung GT 250 R LE in India with a price tag of ₹2.97 lakh.(ex-showroom Pune).

According to reports, the new Hyosung GT 250 R Limited Edition is open for booking in the country and the company will manufacture only 50 units of its latest signature edition. The bike comes in a new Hurricane Yellow paint job and the each bike will bear the signature of the bike owner.

The premium bike comes with the same 249cc V twin engine of its current model, which can pump in 27 PS power at 10,000 rpm and 22 Nm torque at 8,000 rpm. The maximum speed of the bike is 149 kilometers per hour and the engine of the Hyosung GT 250 R LE has been clubbed with a five speed Constant Mesh gearbox. It accelerates from 0-100 km/hr in 8.33 seconds.

Speaking at the launch, Shirish Kulkarni , DSK Motowheels Chairman said "Driven by popular demand from our discerning customers, we decided to introduce this signature edition of the GT250 R. What better way to introduce this faired beast than the first anniversary of our superbike blub the HyRyders. We are overwhelmed by the support shown by the owners club, and are committed to delivering maximum value and excitement for them in the years to come."

DSK Hyosung is expected to unveil its GD250N motorcycles in India in 2014.The reports suggest that the GD250N would make its appearance at the upcoming Auto Expo 2014.Besides this the company has also revealed its plan to enter into the 125 cc motorcycle  segment in India. Hyosung 125 cc bikes will be launched in India by 2015, said the company.

"We are entering into 125 cc segment which will be manufactured at our Karad facility. Currently, there are very few quality products in the market and customer has limited options. In this segment, Hyosung is manufacturing RT-125 with duel cylinder in Korean market which is not suitable for India. Indian version will be consisting of single cylinder and price wise much cheaper than the Korean version, Kulkarni told the Business Standard.
