Domestic IT firm RMSI has pushed Google India to the second spot to emerge as the country's best company to work for in 2015, according to a study.

Delhi-based RMSI provides IT services for various domains such as utilities, wireless telecommunications, information management, agriculture & natural resources, and risk and insurance.

RMSI has a total employee count of 842, with offices in US, Canada and UK apart from India. But Google's employee base in India is nearly double of RMSI's global workforce.

RMSI stood at fourth position in the last year rankings for best companies to work with published by Great Place to Work Institute. In the previous list, Google India, Intel Technologies and Marriott Hotels India were ranked first, second and third respectively.

FMCG giant Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) is the only other company to find place among top 10 companies in the new list. Currently, GCPL employs 2,228 people.

The Indian arms of Marriott Hotels India, American Express India, SAP Labs India, Intuit Technology Services, Accor Hotels India, Forbes Marshall and Lifestyle International are the other companies to figure in the top ten best companies to work for in the country, NDTV Profit reported.

Microsoft India stood at twentieth spot in the list, with an employee count 6,931 people.

Among state-owned companies, National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has overthrown oil refiner Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) as the best public sector firm to work for in India.
