Looks like there is no stopping "Diya Aur Baati Hum", the Star Plus hit show that revolves around the lead couple Sandhya (Deepika Singh) and Suraj (Anas Rashid).
The show that has been entertaining millions of viewers and ruling the TRP charts since its inception, recently completed 1000 episodes.
To mark the special day, the entire cast and crew came together to celebrate the milestone by cutting a cake.
"The whole journey so far has been wonderful and a memorable one. It's my first television show and audiences have given me so much love. I gained immense popularity after doing a Rajasthani film and I don't believe that I have managed to continue this popularity in television also." Neelu Vaghela (Bhabho) told Daily Bhaskar.
Rashid, took to his Facebook account to thank the audience for making the journey a success; he also posted a picture of the entire unit celebrating the special day.
"Diya Aur baati hum completes 1000episodes Such a proud moment Thank u to our audience who made this possible" he wrote.
In the latest development in the show, Sandhya gives birth to twins, and in keeping with the promise made to brother Ankur, hands over one of her babies to his family.
Ankur and his wife Ankita are highly grateful to both Sandhya and Suraj for the huge sacrifice they have made for the sake of their brother's happiness.
However, the Rathi family (Sandhya's in-laws) is disappointed over giving away one of their grandsons to another couple, organises naming ceremony for the newborns, where Sandhya's son is named Vedh and Ankur's newly adopted child Vansh.
According to some reports, the high-voltage drama will soon take a seven-year leap and child artist Divyansh Tapuria has been roped in to essay the role of Sandhya's son.
