Director Atlee Kumar, who shot to fame with superhit movie "Raja Rani", and television actress Krishna Priya are getting ready to walk down the aisle this week.
The couple will tie the knot on Sunday, 9 November. The wedding reception will be held at Hotel Hyatt Regency on the same evening and will be attended by directors Shankar and AR Murugadoss as well as actors Vijay, Arya and Nayantara.
Atlee Kumar and Krishna Priya had got engaged on 7 September at a five-star hotel in Chennai. The couple has known each other for eight years. Their friendship turned into love a few years ago and their marriage has been approved by both the families.
Kumar had worked with maverick filmmaker Shankar and his last movie with him as an associate director was "Nanban". He turned full-time director with "Raja Rani" starring Arya and Nayantara. In his first attempt, he struck gold and earned a good name in the industry.
He will be directing a film with Vijay as hero. The project will take off next year and the young director is busy penning the script for the movie.
Krishna Priya is mainly seen in small-screen and she has been part of several films including Suriya's "Singam". She shot to fame with the television series "Kana Kaanum Kaalangal" aired on Vijay TV. She also participated in the dance reality show Jodi No 1.
