After the 2011 movie "Vellaripravinte Changathi," actors Dileep and Kavya Madhavan have joined hands for their upcoming movie "Pinneyum." The shooting of the movie, written, co-produced, and directed by veteran filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishan stared rolling on Wednesday, May 11.

Kavya announced the news through her social media page and has requested the blessings and prayers of all her fans and well-wishers. "The shooting of Adoor Gopalakrishnan sir's "Pinneyum" opposite Dileep ettan begins today. I request the prayers and blessings of everyone (translated)," Kavya posted on her Facebook page. The movie will be majorly shot in Thiruvananthapuram and Sasthamkotta in Kollam.

The movie, which was announced in March 2015, marks the comeback of the filmmaker to direction after eight years. His last directorial venture was "Oru Pennum Randaanum (A Climate for Crime)," released in 2008. "Pinneyum" is the second outing of Kavya and Adoor Gopalakrishanan after the critically acclaimed movie "Naalu Pennungal" and is the fiilmmaker's first association with Dileep. 

"Pinneyum," which is expected to complete the shooting by the second week of June, will also see the presence of Nedumudi Venu, Indrans, Sudheer Karamana, KPAC Lalitha, Vijayaraghavan, Subodh Bhave, Ravi Vallathol, Prof. Aliyar and Srinda Arhaan in significant roles.
