"Bang Bang" star Hrithik Roshan has left no stone unturned to reach the A-List of Bollywood. Despite his divorce with Sussanne Khan, Hrithik did not allow any compromises in his professional life.
The actor has given several hit blockbuster films to the Indian film industry and proved his worth to the audience. But the Bollywood megastar has also turned down many prominent offers in his film career.
Here is the list of movie proposals that Roshan has rejected.
"Dil Chahta Hai"
The blockbuster "Dil Chahta Hai" was offered to Hrithik to share the screen with Aamir Khan. But the former actor refused the proposal and Saif Ali Khan stepped in for the role.
"Main Hoon Na"
Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Main Hoon Na" was offered to Hrithik to play the younger brother's role. But the "Krrish" superhero rejected the role which later went to Zayed Khan.
"Rang De Basanti"
Hrithik was offered Siddharth's role in blockbuster film "Rang De Basanti" but his rejection of it has been attributed to date issues or the fact that the Roshan boy didn't prefer to act in supporting roles.
Hindi version of Tamil Film "I"
Hrithik has reportedly turned down the offer to work in the Hindi version of Tamil movie "I". In Tamil, the Shankar-directed film stars Vikram and Amy Jackson. Due to date issues the "Bang Bang" actor refused the proposal, leading to Shankar offering the role to Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu.
Shah Rukh Khan received several awards for the film "Swades" which could have been on Hrithik's shelf. But the latter rejected Ashutosh Gowariker's offer.
"Bunty Aur Babli"
The "Dhoom 2" villain turned down the role of a nifty burglar in Yash Raj's "Bunty Aur Babli".
The role was taken up by Abhishek Bachchan who along with co-star Rani Mukerji made the film a raging success.
"Pink Panther 2"
Hrithik also turned down the golden opportunity of working in a Hollywood film. Steve Martin-starrer "Pink Panther 2" had offered the role of 'Vicente' to Roshan but he turned down the proposal.
Character of 'Hamlet' directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia
After Vishal Bhardwaj's "Haider", director Tigmanshu Dhulia is going to adapt 'Hamlet' on the silver screen and offered the role to Hrithik. But he rejected the role as he felt it was similar to the role he played in "Agneepath."
Endorsement Deal of ₹ 20 crore
Hrithik is truly a perfectionist and is dedicated to his career. He rejected a 20-crore endorsement deal. The reason was the actor was not satisfied with the concept of the brand and thus turned down the whopping sum for a commercial.
