Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has reportedly left India and flown to the neighbouring nation. Although some reports suggest that the Bollywood actor went back to Pakistan to accompany his pregnant wife, it appears that threats from the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) is the reason for the actor's sudden departure from India.

In the wake of Uri attack which caused death of 18 Indian soliders, MNS had protested the presence of Pakistani actors in Bollywood. The group had threatened that all the actors and actresses from the neighbouring country should leave India by Sunday or else they will be forcefully sent back.

Although the Mumbai police had assured that adequate security would be provided to all the celebrities from Pakistan, it seems Fawad is reluctant to take any risk. Nevertheless, it has also been reported that the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor left India as his wife is due to deliver soon.

"Fawad was not required here as he has finished all his work on the film. He went back to Pakistan as his wife is due to deliver their second child in September," Hindustan Times quoted a source from Karan Johar's production house as saying. But the same report also said that Fawad is now not willing to come back to India until the situation gets normal.

Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Dharma Productions clarified on Fawad's departure from India saying that he left the country in the month of July and it was not due to MNS threats.

MNS had targeted the movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil as it features Fawad in a key role. The group had demanded that Fawad's part in the film should be chopped off or else they would not allow the release of the film in Mumbai. Apart from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Raees also may face the same trouble as it features Pakistani actress Mahira Khan.
