The third film in the Dhoom franchise "Dhoom 3" had a phenomenal first week theatrical run in India, as well as overseas markets. The film has taken box office records to a different level through its collections.

While in India the film has taken its first week total to ₹188.98 crore, in international market it has crossed the ₹100 crore mark in six days.

"#Dhoom3 language-wise breakup [Week 1]: Hindi ₹ 178.97 cr, Tamil & Telugu ₹ 10.01 cr. Grand total: ₹ 188.98 cr nett. India biz only. ATBB," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

Surpassing the ₹100 crore mark in international circuits even before finishing the first week run is an amazing feat. The blockbuster film of the year "Chennai Express" earned ₹119 crore from its four-week run overseas, while "Dhoom 3" surpassed the century club in just six days.

"Dhoom 3", starring Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles, is now reaching the ₹300 crore mark at the worldwide box offices. Second Friday earning of the film will take its worldwide total to the triple century mark.

Also, at the domestic box office the film is nearing the ₹200 crore mark. It requires ₹11.02 crore more to surpass the ₹200 crore in India and ₹300 crore overall.

"While #Dhoom3 is nearing ₹ 200 cr mark in India, the film crossed ₹ 100 cr in international markets yesterday [Thu]. AWESOME!" Adarsh tweeted.

Meanwhile, after setting records in India, Pakistan and other overseas markets, "Dhoom 3" has created Dhoom in Nepal also. The craze and demand for the film is so high in Nepal that other filmmakers are not releasing their films.
