The teaser of VIP 2 (Velaiilla Pattadhari 2) is out on Wednesday, June 7, giving the first glimpse of the characters of Dhanush and Samuthirakani in the movie. The teaser of the upcoming Tamil movie was released at 4 pm.
Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has released the teaser of VIP 2 on Twitter. Along with the video, he posted, "DHANUSH my co star friend my friend Rajnikanth Son in law his film .. all the best. [sic]"
The video has a few one-liners mouthed by Samuthirakani to Dhanush. The clip is loaded with action moments and the background score remains one of the highlights of the short video.
In the first instalment, Dhanush was seen as an unemployed graduate by name Raghuvaran who wants to pursue only his dream profession. He refuses to take up jobs from any other sectors other than his dream job even at the cost of facing everyday humiliation.
In the end, he lands his dream job and makes it big despite all odds. The second instalment is expected to take his journey forward. The challenges he faces thereafter with the real estate sector forms the crux of the story. Bollywood actress Kajol is playing an important role in VIP 2.
The cast and crew of Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 have undergone many changes. Director Velraj was replaced by Soundarya Rajinikanth while Sean Roldan has stepped into the shoes of Anirudh Ravichander as the music director of the film.
However, Amala Paul remains the female lead in VIP 2, too, which is being bankrolled by Dhanush under his home banner of WunderBar Films in association with Kalaippuli S Thanu's V Creations.
The movie will hit the screens on July 28.
