Popular South Korean TV drama "Descendants of the Sun" will be airing its finale episode this week, bringing an end to the hugely engaging and entertaining storyline that the show kicked off with its premiere in February this year.

Considering the show was fully pre-taped before it went on air, alleged spoilers for the finale episode have surfaced online. Since these are just plain, unconfirmed rumours floating on the internet, it's best to take the following with a pinch of salt.

A spoiler report suggests fans of the show must brace themselves for a heartbreaking finale. According to Koalas Playground, Song Joong Ki's character Army Captain Yoo Shi Jin aka Big Boss will die in the episode finale, states Yibada. 

While this may hugely disappoint fans who want a happy ending for the show's lead pair, Yoo Shi Jin and Kang Mo Yeon, it also seems like they are a lot more interested in actors Joong Ki Song and Hye Kyo Song's relationship in real life.

The Straits Times reports that the "Song-Song" couple was all praises for each other during a recent "Descendants of the Sun" press event in Hong Kong. "She's really pretty," said Joong Ki about Hye Kyo. The actress, on the other hand, kept it slightly more professional telling the press that she and Joong Ki had a really great time filming on the set.

The penultimate episode of "Descendants of the Sun" airs 9:55 p.m. KST Wednesday, April 13, on KBS, followed by the finale on Thursday, April 14. Check out the promo for the upcoming episode below:
