There's increased interest in "Descendants of the Sun" star Song Joong Ki's personal life, and rumours continue to link him with Song Hye Kyo. The duo has neither confirmed nor denied these rumours, but various reports claim that it is only a matter of time before they admit to being romantically involved.

But on June 29, China's Phoenix Television reported that Song Joong Ki went to Los Angeles to film a commercial and he was accompanied by 10 friends, including his non-celebrity girlfriend. If this report turns out to be true, then it is sure to disappoint fans of the actor who are rooting for a Song-Song romance.

Responding to the report, Song Joong Ki's agency revealed that the actor was in the U.S. on vacation. However, there wasn't any mention about his "non-celebrity" girlfriend. "He went overseas for a vacation with staff members," Soompi quoted the agency as saying.

Song Joong Ki is clearly happy with the success of "Descendants of the Sun," as this has made him a sought-after actor. But he has lost his privacy in the process, which he isn't too thrilled about.
"To be honest, I'm a little upset these days," the actor told Asia One in an earlier interview. "My family has been exposed to the media. Some people break into our house. My ex-girlfriend's photos are circulating online. To say that these are things I need to endure for the sake of celebrity ... that's sad. I want to respectfully request that my private life remain private," he added.

In the same interview, he also revealed that he had learned a lot about dating and wooing women from his "Descendants of the Sun" character Yoo Shi Jin. "I thought to myself, 'So this is what you have to do to make your girlfriend happy.' Our scriptwriter Kim Eun-sook made the character, and I understand why so many female viewers fell in love with him. He says things that women want to hear. If I were like him, I would have been much more popular."
