The battle of two former Italy football hotshots -- Marco Materazzi (coach of Chennaiyin FC) and Gianluca Zambrotta (coach of Delhi Dynamos) -- takes place at the ISL 2016 on Wednesday when the two sides clash swords for the second time this season. In the first leg, it was the Delhi side which prevailed in Chennai with a 3-1 scoreline.
Will the result be somewhat similar in the return leg or is it Chennaiyin FC's time for revenge? Nothing much can be said on that as both teams are doing well currently.
While Delhi Dynamos, currently second in the ISL 2016 points table, have won both their previous games, Chennaiyin FC, currently fifth in the table, haven't lost any of their previous five games this season. Incidentally, they are the only side who have just one defeat so far in ISL 2016.
The game is definitely going to be a cracker but one thing that remains a concern is the devastating air pollution levels Delhi is facing at the moment. "Of course, these are not the best conditions to train and we need to train. We have spoken to the medical team regarding if we can train and they say we can train and we trust them," said Zambrotta. "Yes, I know these are not the best conditions but we have got to make the most of it."
Interestingly, Delhi Dynamos lead Chennaiyin FC 3-1 in the overall head to head records. One of the matches has turned out to be a draw.
Delhi Dynamos vs Chennaiyin FC is scheduled to kick off at 7 pm IST (2.30 pm BST) on November 9.
