Deepika Padukone beats Katrina Kaif again to become top female star of February 2016

Deepika Padukone has defeated Katrina Kaif to become the most loved female Bollywood star for the month of February 2016, according to a survey conducted by Ormax Media. Deepika has bagged the top position for the second time in a row, as she was at the number one spot for the month of January 2016 in the same monthly survey.

Ormax Media conducted a survey, titled Ormax Stars India Loves (Ormax SIL), in 29 cities across India with a sample size of 3300. The survey is conducted to assess the popularity of the top Bollywood actresses. The survey result has brought out the names of top 10 female Bollywood stars for February this year, including Deepika on the top, followed by Katrina in second position.

Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor Khan's positions in the list remained unchanged at third and fourth slots respectively, like in January 2016. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has replaced "Dilwale" actress Kajol on the fifth position, as the latter has moved down to the seventh rank. Alia Bhatt, who is currently in news for her upcoming movie "Kapoor and Sons," has moved from the seventh to the sixth slot. Madhuri Dixit's position remained unchanged at eighth. "Baaghi" actress Shraddha Kapoor claimed the ninth position, pushing Sonakshi Sinha to number 10 and Jacqueline Fernandez is out of the list.

Deepika, who has been giving back to back Bollywood hits, has now shifted her focus to Hollywood. The actress is currently busy shooting for her debut Hollywood project "XXX-The Return of Xander Cage," starring Vin Diesel, Samuel L Jackson, Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev and Tony Jaa among others.

On the other hand, Katrina's last film "Fitoor" did not really make a mark at the box office. She has two upcoming Bollywood movies -- "Jagga Jasoos" and "Baar Baar Dekho." The first features Katrina's former boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and the latter will bring the fresh pairing of Katrina and Sidharth Malhotra.
