Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone will reportedly do a cameo appearance in Kriti Sanon and Sushant Singh Rajput's "Raabta." Director Dinesh Vijan wanted Deepika to be part of his film as she is his lucky mascot.
"Deepika is Dinesh's lucky mascot. When he shared the idea with her, she immediately came on board," a source told Mumbai Mirror. The actress will appear in an item number in the film. Deepika has earlier worked with Dinesh in "Love Aaj Kal," "Cocktail" and "Finding Fanny," and she shares a good equation with him.
Apart from Deepika's presence, another detail regarding the film has been revealed. Dinesh has apparently shot the most romantic scene of the movie and it includes the rare blue moon. "Dinesh Vijan currently shot for a climax with the rare blue moon last week. Moon plays an important part in the film and the makers were successful in shooting the climax round it. Blue moon is a rare phenomenon which occurred and you can catch a glimpse of it with your naked eye," Bollywood Life quoted a source as saying.
It looks like Dinesh is coming up with an interesting love story, featuring Sushant and Kriti for the first time together on screen. The film is Dinesh's directorial debut and he has earlier worked with some ace directors. Also, his production company Maddock Films has produced films like "Cocktail," "Badlapur," "Finding Fanny" and others.
It had been reported that the duo had rejected Mohit Suri's "Half Girlfriend" offer due to "Raabta" as the dates were clashing. Till now, Kriti has charmed viewers with her appearance in "Heropanti" and "Dilwale," while Sushant, who was also a popular TV star, appeared in films like "Kai Po Che," "Shuddh Desi Romance," "PK" and "Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!" Sushant will next appear in the Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni's biopic, titled "M.S.Dhoni: The Untold Story."
