Madhuri Dixit Nene starrer "Dedh Ishqiya" may have begun on a tepid note in India, but the response towards the film is quite high in Pakistan.

According to reports, the film was a rage at multiplexes in the country throughout the weekend.

In India, the comic drama thriller battled to hold a strong position at the box office. The accumulation headed off around 35 to 40 percent on its first weekday contrasted with Friday, according to boxofficeindia.com.

The film, also starring Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi, Huma Qureshi and Vijay Raaz in important roles, has raked in around ₹1.758 crore on Monday. The accumulated figure of "Dedh Ishqiya" stands at ₹13.75 crore.

The leading week may head off to around ₹17- ₹17.50 crore nett which is poor considering the star cast and positive reviews it received.

Meanwhile, the second film "Yaariyan" had managed to sail safely in its opening weekend. But on Monday, the audience count declined by more than 50 percent.

The film based on college life has made a business of around ₹2.5 crore, taking its four-day total to around ₹21.7 crore. The first week total should rest with ₹24 to ₹25 crore, which is a pretty decent share considering the budget of the film.

"Yaariyan" marks the debut of Divya Khosla as director. The film also features newcomers Himanshu Kohli, Dev Sharma, Serah Singh, Rakul Preet Singh and Nicole Faria in important roles.

Deepti Naval and Gulshan Grover are also featured in the film.
