Nissan's low-cost brand Datsun is all set to make its global debut with the new redi-Go hatchback April 14. The redi-Go, the third offering of Datsun in India after the Go hatchback and Go+ MPV, is expected to go on sale in the country around May-end.

Datsun has already started teasing the new redi-Go ahead of its global unveiling in India. As the auto lovers wait to hold the steering wheels of the all-new redi-Go, here we roundup everything you need to know about the new small car from its features to the expected price tag.

— The redi-Go hatchback is built on the same CMF-A platform as Renault Kwid and is expected to pack similar features of the Kwid, except the touch-screen navigation system.

— The redi-Go is manufactured at Renault-Nissan alliance plant in Oragadam, Chennai.

— Under the hood, Datsun redi-Go is likely to get an 800cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine with a five-speed manual transmission. Rumours also indicate that the small car of DatSun could also get automated manual transmission (AMT).

— The redi-Go is also rumoured to get a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder diesel engine developed by Nissan at a later stage. The small hatch is expected to pack exterior add-ons like roof rails, roof spoiler and crossover-like plastic rear bumper.

-- The redi-Go is expected to be priced cheaper than the Kwid and is likely to cost under Rs. 3 lakh for the base variant.
