Nissan Datsun is reportedly set to begin the production of its on-Do sedan in Russia in next month, claims a new report.

The on-Do sedan of Datsun, which was unveiled in Russia back in April, is likely to go on sales from August and the launch is likely to be followed by Datsun mi-Do hatchback in the country, as reported by RushLane. Datsun will manufacture the on-Do sedan at the Avtovaz plant in Russia and is likely to be priced below 400,000 Roubles(roughly ₹6.80 lakh). The car has been styled at Datsun's advanced Global Design Center in Japan.

The on-DO, Datsun's Go based sedan is a five-seat coupe and draws its power from the 1.6-litre petrol engine, which can churn out a power of 87bhp. It measures 3,785mm in length, 1,635mm in width, 1,485mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2450mm.

In India, Datsun is gearing up for its Go+ MPV launch. Expected to come around the festive season, Datsun Go+ MPV will take on the likes of Maruti Ertiga and Honda Mobilio. The company is likely to price its Go+ in the ₹4.5 -6.5 lakh price range and will be coming to India in three trims - D, A and T.

Under the hood, the Go+ MPV will pack 1,198 cc, three cylinder, 12 valve petrol motor, which can churn out a power of 68 PS @ 5,000 rpm and a peak torque of 104 Nm @ 4,000 rpm, coupled to five-speed manual gearbox.

Currently, Datsun retails its Go hatch back in India. Launched in March, Go has been a successful venture of the brand in the country so far.

Priced at ₹3.12 lakh, Datsun Go hatchback, which competes with the Maruti Alto, Ford Figo, Maruti Wagon R, Hyundai Santro and Hyundai i10 in the subcontinent market, comes with a 1.2-litre, three cylinder petrol engine. It measures 3785mm in length, 1635mm in width, 1485mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2450mm and promises a fuel efficiency of 20.6kmpl.

The engine is tested to churn out a power of 68bhp and a peak torque of 110Nm and can accelerate 0-100 km/h in 13.3 seconds. The car houses features like digital tachometer, follow-me-home headlamps, speed sensitive wipers, silver finish front radiator grille and engine immobilizer.
