The first look poster of Aamir Khan's much awaited flick "Dangal" was unveiled on Monday.

The film went on floors today, after being postponed from 1 September. The actor has been prepping hard for the role and is now ready to commence shooting for the same.

Aamir will play the role of legendary wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat in "Dangal" and he has gained weight to fit into the role. The actor now weighs 90 kilos. 

Apparently, the movie will feature three different stages of Phogat's life. The 49-year-old actor will play a 19-year-old teenager and a 27-year-old young man, but a major portion of the film will see him as a 55-year-old man.

On Sunday, the actor shared a picture on his Twitter handle which said: "Kal Se" (Tomorrow onwards.) And today, he tweeted the first look of "Dangal" which says: "Aaj se Dangal Shuru" (Wrestling begins from today).

The makers have a long shooting schedule and the filming will take place mainly in Punjab and Haryana. The team of "Dangal" will also shoot at Kila Raipur, the place where Rural Olympics, popularly known as Kila Raipur Sports Festival, is held every year.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, "Dangal" will also portray Aamir as a father of two daughters.

Newcomers Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra will play the role of Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari respectively, the wrestler's daughters who also happen to be wrestlers.

Recently, it was announced that popular TV actress Sakshi Tanwar will be seen as Aamir Khan's wife in the film. The film is expected to be released in December 2016.
