Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal is again set to make new box office records post its release in China. The film has crossed Rs. 150 crore in just one week at the China box office, and its worldwide collection is likely to cross Rs. 1,000 crore soon, to become the second such Indian film after Baahubali 2.

The movie Dangal has had an overwhelming response at the Indian box office. However, its business at the China market is no less excellent. Released on May 5 in the foreign country, Dangal has been making huge collections in China on an everyday basis.

The movie collected $3.91 million (Rs. 148.67) at the China box office by the end of Wednesday. It was just short of Rs. 2 crore to cross Rs. 150 crore mark, which it has collected even before the end of Thursday, as per advance booking.

"#Dangal is setting NEW BENCHMARKS for Indian films in China... All set for a long innings...Wed $3.91 mn. Total: $23.04 mn [Rs 148.67 cr]," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

Current trend suggests Dangal will witness a collection of Rs. 20 crore (approximately) by the end of its first week at the China market taking its 7-days collection to Rs. 168 crore (approximately). The sports biopic opened at the China box office with a collection of Rs. $ 2.08 mn on Friday. It had witnessed even more growth over the weekend, earning $11.30 million (Rs. 72.68 crore) in its first three days.

Dangal had continued its superb run in China over the weekdays as well, and had crossed Rs. 100 crore in just five days. Now it has crossed the Rs. 150 crore mark at China box office as well.

Dangal had a total worldwide collection of Rs. 730 crore gross, and now the China collection is making it even a bigger hit at the worldwide market. With the earlier Rs. 730 plus Rs. 168 crore from China market, Dangal's total worldwide collection now stands at Rs. 898 crore.

The movie is likely to cross Rs. 1000 crore mark at the worldwide box office as it has received excellent response across China. Currently, only Baahubali 2 holds the record of only Indian movie to cross Rs. 1000 crore mark at the worldwide box office.
