New Delhi, Oct 8 (ANI): Former Tamil Nadu chief minister J. Jayalalithaa and three other accused in an 18-year-old Rs. 66 crore disproportionate assets case, are likely to move the Supreme Court on Wednesday, challenging the Karnataka High Court's order to refuse bail to them. The Karnataka High Court rejected the bail pleas of the four accused on Tuesday, observing that corruption amounts to a violation of human rights. The judge quoted various cases of the Supreme Court under Prevention of Corruption Act and pronounced that there is no ground for giving bail to the accused convicts in this case. The court not only refused to grant of bail, but also declined to stay the sentence of four-year imprisonment and Rs 100 crore penalty imposed on her in the case.
