Latehar, Oct 14 (ANI): India's paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) carried out community policing in the red corridors of Jharkhand in order to create awareness among ignorant villagers about the need to fight the Maoists. As part of campaign against them, CRPF have been setting up camps for the past 80 days in different areas of the red corridor to minimise the influence of Maoists. Assistant Commandant of CRPF, AK Mishra said that community policing was conducted in the backward areas in order to make contact with the people living there. The CRPF officials conducted a civic action in Opag village of Latehar district by distributing bags, notebooks and other items to school children and utensils to the villagers.
