Activists from the organisation End Deportations laid on the ground, chained to each other, at Stansted Airport on 28 March as they formed a blockade on the runway to stop a flight they said was deporting asylum seekers to Nigeria and Ghana.Flights were suspended at the airport, with a spokesperson telling the Guardian that eight flights were diverted to other airports in the London area. Spanish police seize £12m worth of cocaine hidden in fake bananas

Spain’s Civil Guard said, on 26 March, that it had seized a shipment of cocaine hidden in fake bananas. Some 7kg (15lb) of the drug was found in 57 fake resin bananas; a further 10kg were found hidden among real bananas. At least one gunman has killed one person and injured 14 others in a shooting. The attack took place at around 1am at Cameo nightclub in Cincinnati. A stabbing victim of Westminster attacker Khalid Masood has spoken out. Danny Smith was stabbed by Masood, then known as Adrian Elms, in 2003 after an argument. An incident on top of a Las Vegas bus has been resolved by police. A man in his 50s reportedly suddenly started shooting at other passengers.
