Trinbago Knight Riders will face St Kitts and Nevis Patriots again in a dead rubber CPL 2016 encounter at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, in Florida, on Sunday. Knight Riders have qualified for the playoffs and they will look to regain the winning momentum ahead of the CPL 2016 playoff stages.

However, in the last game, the defending champions were handed a defeat by a reeling Patriots side -- courtesy a blitzkrieg from Elvin Lewis.

Knight Riders made it to the playoff stages after Guyana Amazon Warriors beat Barbados Tridents in the other game. If Tridents had won that match, things would have been interesting by now. However, Knight Riders still had a better chance of making it to the final four in the CPL 2016 points table as they had one more match in their hands.

The big players really need to step up to the occasion now as the tournament is reaching its business end. It is now or never for players like Brendon McCullum, Sunil Narine and others as their form could help their side retain the CPL crown.

Meanwhile, Faf du Plessis and co. will want to forget this tournament as soon as they can. Their consolation win against Knight Riders in the last game at the same venue was their second victory in nine matches of CPL 2016.

Elvin Lewis stole the show in the last game and Du Plessis will want his in-form batsman to do well again on Sunday and end CPL 2016 on a high.

Either side is unlikely to make any changes to its playing XI for the upcoming match.

Expected starting XI:

Trinbago Knight Riders: Hashim Amla, Brendon McCullum, Colin Munro, William Perkins, Umar Akmal, Dwayne Bravo (C), Denesh Ramdin (wk), Anton Devcich, Sunil Narine, Nikita Miller, Ronsford Beaton.

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots: Lendl Simmons, Evin Lewis, Faf du Plessis (C), JJ Smuts, Jonathan Carter, Brad Hodge, Devon Thomas (wk), Sheldon Cottrell, Samuel Badree, Krishmar Santokie, Jeremiah Louis.
