There's been a lot of buzz around Captain America's character this past week. First Marvel Comics decided to shock readers by giving a pretty radical change to Cap's storyline in "Captain America: Steve Rogers #1," the new Marvel ongoing series. Then, the online campaign -- #GiveCaptainAmericaABoyfriend -- went viral.

It remains to be seen if the Marvel Cinematic Universe [MCU] incorporates either one of these big changes. It seems highly unlikely though as fans worldwide are already invested in the MCU version of Cap.

Post the events of the recently released "Captain America: Civil War," several fans are waiting to see how Cap's story arc unfolds. He will of course be seen next in the two-part "Avengers: Infinity War" but will the character show up before that in any one of the upcoming Marvel films?

Talking to MTV News recently, actor Chris Evans dropped a couple of suggestions in regards to where he would like to see Cap next. "Guardians would be fun, wouldn't it?" the actor said, before adding, "...but it's very outer spacey. Cap's more of an Earth-bound guy."

"Maybe the next Spider-Mans," Evans continued. "Those are going to be fantastic, and I think Tom [Holland]'s just a great actor, so that might be a fun one to pop up into."

With the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" plot focusing on a young Peter Parker living with his aunt in Queens, New York, it definitely seems like a more 'Cap-friendly' setup than Guardians.

So far, no official announcement has been made regarding any potential cameos for Evans, but facing Tony Stark again in the next Spidey may be a pretty cool idea.
