1:15pm: Coolpad Note 5 runs Google's Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box with Cool UI on top. 

1:12pm: Coolpad Note 5 has an impressive camera setup. It features a 13-megapixel primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, CMOS sensor, 5P lens and dual LED flash. On the front, it has an 8MP snapper with 5P Lens, f/2.2 aperture, 80.1 degree wide angle and an LED flash.

1:05pm: The handset comes with a Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor, Adreno 405 GPU for graphics and a dual ISP camera.

1:04pm: Coolpad Note 5 features a 4,010mAh battery with quick charging technology.

12:55pm: Coolpad Note 5 features a metal unibody with polished finish and fine cut edges. It features a fingerprint scanner, which can make, receive and record calls, unlock device in 0.5 seconds, map fingers to open apps and snap photos with one tap.

12:50 pm IST: Coolpad and Qualcomm unvieled the all-new Coolpad Note 5. Renowned wrestler Great Khali on stage to show of the "Beast" smartphone to all fans and media present at the event. 

12:45 pm IST: Dr. Lou Zhongsheng, VP of Coolpad group, revealed only 5 percent of all Coolpad handsets are made in China, 95 percent are manufacturerd in India. Coolpad India support Make In India.

Coolpad has finally kicked off its launch event in New Delhi to unveil the latest smartphone in its Note series. Coolpad had teased the smartphone with a "Beast" moniker, but it confirmed the handset's name to be Coolpad Note 5 shortly before its official launch.
