Coolpad Note 3 Plus launched in India; price, specifications

Chinese mobile phone-maker Coolpad unveiled a new smartphone dubbed the Note 3 Plus in India on Friday.

As the name implies, the Note 3 Plus is an advanced variant of the Coolpad's original model Note 3, which was launched in October 2015. It comes with upgrades in terms of display resolution and faster CPU. It sports 5.5-inch full HD (1920x1080p) display and 1.5GHz MediaTek octa-core processor, whereas the former model features a 5.5-inch HD (1280x720p) screen and 1.3GHz MediaTek octa-core processor. Rest of the specifications of both the devices remain the same.

The Coolpad Note 3 Plus also features fingerprint sensor, Android 5.1Lollipop OS, 3GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage, 13MP primary camera on the back, a 5MP front snapper and a 3,000mAh battery.

"The updated version of the Note 3 is being made in partnership with Videocon at their Aurangabad facility and is Coolpad's contribution to the "Make in India" initiative," Tajuddin added.

The company has confirmed that Coolpad Note 3 Plus will go on sale on May 13 via Amazon India exclusively. It will be made available in black and white colour options.

Competition:

Coolpad's new Note 3 Plus will be up against popular Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, LeEco Le 1s, Lenovo K4 Note and Lenovo K5 Plus among others.
