Coolpad Note 3 is by-far one of the worthiest sub-Rs.10,000 phones in India. Since the handset has been available in white since its launch in October, some users who prefer an alternate colour were let down. But Coolpad is changing that by launching a new Note 3 black edition in India for Rs. 8,999. The new black edition was unveiled during Coolpad's first-ever FAN meet in New Delhi on 5 December.

Except for the new colour, Coolpad Note 3 remains unchanged. All the premium features such as fingerprint scanner and gesture support to launch apps and perform actions such as activating camera shutter are intact. But the coolness of the Coolpad Note 3 doesn't end right there as it brings valuable specs onboard.

Coolpad Note 3 features a 5.5-inch HD display, 13MP primary camera with LED flash, 5MP front camera and a 3,000mAh battery. It is powered by a 1.3GHz 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM and 16GB expandable memory. In terms of connectivity, the Note 3 supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and has dual SIM card slots.

Coolpad Note 3 is exclusively available on Amazon India and the new black variant will join the offering soon.

Alongside a new colour variant for its flagship Note 3 smartphone, Coolpad also launched a new logo that stands for "Catalyst, Creative, Confident, Caring," said Dr Luo, VP of Global Business at Coolpad, according to Tele Analysis.

"Catalyst; means Coolpad will accelerate changes of everyone's life with top technology. Creative; means Coolpad is capable to make better product with its strong R&D accumulation. Confidence; is the value Coolpad want to bring to customers, partners and employees. Caring; the last but not least, is Coolpad attitude. It will always put user experience at centre," Dr Luo explained.
