Lucknow, Nov 21 (ANI): The police lathicharged the Congress workers outside UP Vidhan Sabha for staging statewide agitation on Tuesday. The Congress workers launched a statewide protest against the ruling Samajwadi Party for failing to implement the Food Security Act in the state. The agitation is led by Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) chief Nirmal Khatri at Laxman Park in Lucknow. Earlier, the party started a door-to-door campaign informing the people of the benefits of the Food Security Act and exposed the state government of its anti-poor stand.
