New Delhi, July 3 (ANI): Following the Gopal Subramanium controversy, Congress party accused the Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party of breaching constitutional norms by usurping the right to select or reject the judges of the apex court. Congress Spokesperson, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, said the government action against Subramanium smacks of pettiness. In a letter sent to the Chief Justice of India, Subramaniam had withdrawn his nomination for the candidature of apex court. Singhvi added that Subramanium's only fault was that he spoke against Modi's government in Gujarat when he was Chief of the state.
