Greater Noida, Jan 14 (ANI): Congress party on Wednesday criticised central government’s land acquisition ordinance, saying it is not favour of farmers. India passed an urgent executive order last year on December 29 to ease land-acquisition rules in sectors like power, housing and defence to kick-start hundreds of billions of dollars in stalled projects. Jairam Ramesh while addressing a group of farmers in Bhatta Parsaul village in Uttar Pradesh said the BJP-led government is snatching away the rights of farmers by changing things which took years to form. He also added that in 2013 the Congress party has maintained if no work is done on a land for five years then it will be returned to the rightful owner, which will, however, change now.
