Rev. Jesse Jackson's recent claim that Lamar Odom is responsive to treatment has led to several conflicting reports about the former NBA star's condition. Odom, who is currently on life support, is admitted to Sunrise Hospital. He was paid a visit by Jesse Jackson on Wednesday, who said that Odom's condition is improving and he is responding to treatment.

Jackson said, "Apparently from what the doctor said, he was much better off today than yesterday. He at least has some responsiveness now. He's got tubes in him now but we felt inspired by his presence. We're just holding hands and hoping he can bounce back," reported Fox Sports.

Odom was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel known as Love Ranch on Tuesday, 13 October. Reports suggest that the former NBA star was rushed to the hospital after he was found unresponsive by the staff of the establishment.

Nye County Sheriff Sharon Wehrly said that Odom used cocaine and up to 10 tablets of sexual performance supplements. "Detective Michael Eisenloffel has not ruled out that Odom's actions were a suicide attempt," reported USA TODAY.

While Jackson's comments provided a ray of hope to Odom's fans, the latest news by TMZ claimed that the star's condition is still critical. The website quoted eyewitnesses, who said that Odom suffered multiple strokes and is currently on a 3-5 hour dialysis to treat kidney failure.

The former L.A Lakers team member's estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian and the rest of her family rushed to see him when the news broke. CNN reported that Khloe is currently making the medical decisions for Odom.

Lamar Odom and "Keeping up with the Kardashians" star Khloe Kardashian were married between 2009 and 2015. Although the two signed divorce papers last year, their divorce hasn't been finalised.

So far, hospital authorities haven't revealed Odom's condition.
