Comedian Krushna Abhishek was reportedly offered the popular show "Comedy Nights with Kapil" ("CNWK").

Abhishek, who was recently seen in Sunil Grover's "Mad in India," has revealed that the "CNWK" makers had approached him for a part in their famous show. But the actor informed that he turned down the show and the decision has left show host Kapil Sharma quite upset.

The actor in speaking to The Times of India has now explained his reason of giving a miss to "CNWK."

"Kapil is upset with me because I didn't go on his show. Why, I will tell the reason. If I go on 'Comedy Nights...,' I will not get enough space. You must have seen me on 'Mad In India' for couple of episodes and I was there everywhere in the episode. So, if I go on 'Comedy Nights...' I don't want to be one of the characters, simple. I don't work for money," Abhishek told the daily.

Further, he expressed doubts over his future association with the Kapil Sharma-headed-show.

"I won't do a show like Kapil as of now because I am not interested in doing such shows. When I started my career, I never knew that I will get into comedy. I came here as a blank slate but comedy in me was discovered through 'Comedy Circus.' (CC) I will think about it sometime later as of now I want to enjoy my space."

It should be noted that Abhishek and Sharma have previously competed against each other in "Comedy Circus." An archive report carried that Abhishek was thoroughly frustrated when Sharma had won the "CC" finale in 2011. He had claimed the show was rigged and that he felt cheated with the results.

However, instead of "CNWK," Abhishek has now taken up Sony TV's upcoming show "Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega" where he will be seen co-hosting the show with Mona Singh.

The comedian seemed quite excited about his new show, "I have never done a show like 'Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega', so I am damn excited about the show. And one more reason behind my excitement is that it's my debut in hosting."
