The comedian, Kapil Sharma, has reached the sky after his TV show "Comedy Nights With Kapil" became the most watched show on television.

From Amitabh Bachchan to Shah Rukh Khan, from Sonu Nigam to Rohit Shetty, most of the Bollywood stars make sure to appear on the popular show for their film promotions.

Recently, the "Happy New Year" cast appeared on the show. SRK, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Vivaan Shah, Boman Irani and director Farah Khan came to promote their film on "CNWK".

The show has touched heights since its launch and all the credits go to the cast and crew.

Sharma's sarcastic humour, crazy daadi's drunken acts, flirty bua's eye-rolling performance, interrupting wife's big lips, irritating father-in-law's hatred and neighbour Palak's dance – the reel family of "CNWK" steals the heart of the viewers.

The TV show host came to Mumbai with a dream to become a singer, which is his first love. Initially, he was a struggling theatre artist and later he participated in a comedy show on a Punjabi channel in 2005 before winning the comedy show, "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge", in 2007.

The comedian has a 3-film contract and talent management deal with Yash Raj Films in his pocket. Once, the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar has praised Sharma's singing talent when he was a wild card contestant in a singing reality show, "Star Ya Rockstar", according to The Times of India.

It is said that the comedian is dating "CNWK" creative director Preeti Simoes.

Most of the people know that Sharma's crazy daadi, who loves to kiss every actor who comes on the set, is actually TV serial actor Ali Asgar. He is a popular face from the old serial "Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki" as Kamal Agarwal. Then he appeared as an inspector in "FIR" and also in the comic show "Jeannie Aur Juju" as Juju. The actor has been in many films as supporting actor and also he was offered a role by Salman Khan in his film "Kick", but Asgar turned it down due to dates issue, TOI reported.

Sharma's Bua, who is single and ready to mingle, is famous from Anil Kapoor-Sridevi film "Judaai" where Upasana Singh played a deaf and mute girl role. The actress has a good position in the Rajasthani movie industry and has worked in Punjabi, Bhojpuri and Gujarati films as well.

Sunil Grover who first appeared as 'Gutthi' in "CNWK" and then left the show to launch his own project as "Mad in India". Now again he is back as Sharma's father-in-law. The actor who is also known as Sudarshan aka Sud on Radio Mirchi has worked in films including "Ghajini", "Zila Ghaziabad and "The Legend of Bhagat Singh".

Sharma's wife Manju aka Sumona Chakravarti has always been made fun for her big lips on the show. The actress, who is actually an aspiring model who won the Miss Mumbai title in 2005, considers Sharma as her brother in real life.

Palak aka Kiku Sharda loves to dance and is a great comedian on screen. He appeared on comedy show "FIR" and participated on Nach Baliye with his wife. The actor also showed his dancing talent on the reality show, "Jhalak Dikhla Jaa" as Palak.
