Colors TV has reportedly been telecasting old episodes of Kapil Sharma's erstwhile show in order to tackle the TRP fight with Star Plus and Sony TV.

While Kapil has been successfully running "The Kapil Sharma Show" on Sony TV, and Star Plus has been gaining much viewership on Sunday afternoons with a host of shows, Colors TV has reportedly been using old episodes from "Comedy Nights With Kapil" to attract eyeballs.

It has been reported that Star Plus has been gaining a lot of TRPs for its Sunday afternoon shows and so, Colors TV has been trying to win the race with repeated episodes of Kapil's former show.

"Colors decided to run the Kapil Sharma repeats on Sunday simply to take away the eyeballs from Star Plus, which has been beating it black and blue since the last four weeks continuously," SpotboyE quoted a source as saying.

The shows that Star Plus telecast on Sunday afternoon are "Saath Nibhana Saathiya," "Diya Aur Baati Hum," Jaana Na Dil Se Door" and "Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar Kya Karein," the report said.

"Kapil's show has become the number 1 show on Sony. Colors is definitely not happy about it. They want to take away some share from Sony too, which can be done on Sundays only. They can't tamper their programming on weekdays, when there's a slot crunch," the source added.

Kapil, and his "Comedy Nights with Kapil" team, earlier had a fallout with Colors TV, following which they shifted to Sony TV and started another comedy show titled "The Kapil Sharma Show."
