Bhubaneswar, Oct 14 (ANI): The Indian coast guard rescued 18 sailors, who were left stranded after their merchant vessel went missing in the super-cyclone ‘Phailin’. A Panama-registered cargo ship carrying iron ore was reported to have sunk in rough seas off the coast of West Bengal, but the crew was rescued later by a Coast Guard aircraft. Speaking to a journalist in Bhubaneswar city, a Group Captain in the Indian Air Force (IAF), Basant. B. Pande, said on Monday (October 14) that the 18 sailors – 17 Chinese and one Indonesian – were safe.
