Overview:

Highveled Lions come into the contest after losing to Rajasthan Royals by 30 runs and to Mumbai Indians by seven wickets. They have two points on the table after the match scheduled against Mumbai Indians was abandoned due to rain. Their chance of entering the knockout round will be thrashed if they loss this match.

Otago Volts have six points on the table from two games. They put up a convincing 62-run win against Perth Scorchers after the match against Mumbai Indians was washed out. They will be keen to win the remaining two games to ensure a place in the semi-finals.

Team News:

Highveled Lions: None of the batsman has scored a half century in the tournament, Alviro Petersen's 40 being the highest individual score from the team. They will heavily bank on the likes of Quinton de Kock, Petersen, Neil McKenzie and Rassie van der Dussen to score big.

On the bowling front, Dwaine Pretorius is the leading wicket taker for the team with three. Lonwabo Tsotsobe, Sohail Tanvir and Imran Tahir look impressive though not in terms of wickets.

Otago Volts: In the previous match against Perth Scorchers, Neil Broom scored 117, Ryan ten Doeschate scored 66, and Derek de Boorder scored 45, taking the total to 242. They will be expected to score big on Sunday too.

Ian Butler picked up three wickets in the previous match, while Nathan McCullum and James McMillan took a wicket apiece.

Prediction:

Otago Volts are the favourites to win.
