Singer Chris Brown has been arrested at his mansion after a tense 11-hour standoff with the police. He was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, Los Angeles Police said in a press release.

On Tuesday, at around 3 a.m., Baylee Curran, who is a former Miss California Regional 2016, called police after Brown reportedly pointed a gun at her at his mansion. Curran was admiring jewellery at Brown's residence when he pointed the gun at her, TMZ reported.

"I admired this one piece, a diamond cross necklace. I did not pick it up, I did not touch it, take it or grab it, anything to that sort," she told E!online. "[The friend] was calling me names and that's when Chris Brown kind of went off, pulled out a gun and said, 'Get the f--k out.'"

LAPD said that Brown has been transported to the robbery-homicide department. "This morning, around three o'clock, officers responded to a radio call for a woman requiring assistance. The incident involved the residence of Mr Chris Brown, where officers responded and met with that person," LAPD Lieutenant Chris Ramirez said, according to the Mirror.

Police spent hours outside Brown's mansion, as they were waiting for a search warrant, reports suggest. At around 1 p.m., police interviewed Brown and other members present in the house and two hours after that the singer left the mansion wearing a white T-shirt, black jeans and a red hat.

Meanwhile, during the search, Brown posted several videos on Instagram and said that he was portrayed as a villain.

"Good luck. When you get the warrant or whatever you need to do, you're going to walk right up in here and you're going to see nothing, you idiots," Brown said in one of the videos. "I'm tired of... dealing with y'all."

"I don't care. Y'all gonna stop playing with me like I'm the villain out here, like I'm going crazy," Brown said.

"At the same time, when I call the police for stalker people that are endangering my life, they don't come until the next day. Then somebody makes a f***ed up allegation about me, and oh yeah the whole f***ing SWAT team," he said.
