It appears that cousins Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra are destined to clash at the Box Office on the same date.

Last year, on 5 September, Priyanka's "Zanjeer" and Parineeti's "Shuddh Desi Romance" hit the silver screens together and this year again, the former's biopic movie "Mary Kom" will release on 5 September, the same day "Daawat-e-Ishq" starring Parineeti is scheduled to hit theatres.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Mary Kom" was earlier scheduled for 2 October, but the team decided for an early release as two big budget movies - Vishal Bhardwaj's "Haider" and Hrithik Roshan-starrer "Bang Bang" occupied the long weekend Friday slot of Gandhi Jayanti.

The unexpected entry of "Mary Kom" on 5 September has taken the team of "Daawat-e-Ishq" by surprise.

"We have no clue about this. We announced our release many months ago. So whoever chooses to jump in now, is doing so out of the queue. Our best wishes to them," said a source from Yash Raj Films, reported Bollywoodlife.com.

Interestingly, while "Mary Kom" is being released before schedule, "Daawat-e-Ishq" has been delayed by many months. It was earlier scheduled to release on 9 May.

Meanwhile, Priyanka is currently shooting in Istanbul for Zoya Akhtar's "Dil Dhadakne Do" and she being the film's only lead, can only work for the promotion and publicity of "Mary Kom" by August.

"And that's really cutting it close, we know. Priyanka is the only face of "Mary Kom". She is the film's hero. Only she can promote the film. We are counting on the month of August to take us safely into our release on September 5," according to a "Mary Kom" team member, reported PinkVilla.

While, "Mary Kom", is based on self-controlled, disciplined life of five-time world champion and an Olympic winner Mary Kom, who struggled for her success, Habib Faisal's "Daawat-e-Ishq" is all about food and its indulgence. The movie will also feature Aditya Roy Kapur.

The two movies being different from each other, is unlikely to pose any competition for the Chopra sisters.

Last year it was Parineeti's youth-oriented flick "Shuddh Desi Romance" opposite Sushant Singh Rajput that collected good revenue and received positive critics compared to1970's remake "Zanjeer" featuring Priyanka and southern superstar Ram Charan Teja that managed to fare well at the box office with average collection.

However, it is yet to be known what the Chopra sisters have in store for their fans this year.
