Uttarkashi, Aug 11 (ANI): Police rescued a 10-year-old child who was swept away by the torrential flow of the river Assi Ganga in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The child was bathing in the river with his three friends when there was a sudden increase in the water level due to rain. While the three other children escaped, one child was carried away around 100 metres due to the strong currents. Some women working nearby spotted the child stuck between the rocks and informed the police, who, with the help of fire workers, successfully brought out the child.
