A motorcyclist died in Chennai when a scaffolding iron pillar at a metro construction site fell on him.
The accident occurred at around 8:15 am when 30-year-old Giridhar, a software engineer at an IT company in Chennai, was crossing the under-construction metro site. He lived near Madipakkam locality, NDTV reports.
The incident occurred near the under-construction Officers' Training Academy (OTA) Metro Station on city's Airport road.

In January, a construction worker died at the Metro Rail construction site in Meenambakkam. He fell from a scaffolding where he was working and died instantly.
