Bayern Munich have been drawn against Barcelona, while defending European Champions Real Madrid are up against Juventus in the other semifinal of the UEFA Champions League this season.

Barcelona suffered a humiliating 7-0 aggregate defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich when the two sides' last met at the same stage in the 2012/13 Champions League.

After crushing the Catalans in Munich in the first leg of the semifinal in 2012/13, the Bavarians went to again record a comfortable 3-0 win over them at the Nou Camp in the second leg.

However, this time around things will not be too easy for Bayern as Barcelona have been playing well this season especially in the Champions League, where they recorded a comfortable 5-1 aggregate victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the previous round.

Bayern, who defeated Porto 7-4 on aggregate in the last round of the Champions League, themselves, have not been doing too badly this season as they are currently 12 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga and in the semifinals of the DFB-Pokal.

Taking all this into account this game is certainly going to be a cracking one as the Spanish giants take on their German counterparts.

Meanwhile, the game between Juventus and Real Madrid will also certainly be a thriller considering the sheer talent of the two sides.

Domestically, Juventus have been much better than Real Madrid this season as they are currently 15 points clear at the top of the Serie A and in the final of the Coppa Italia.

However, Real Madrid are still the clear favourites in this fixture as Juventus have not done very well in the Champions League in the last couple of seasons.

While the Los Blancos have consistently made it to the last four of the Champions League for the past four seasons, this is the first time that Juventus have qualified for the semifinal of the European competition since the 2002/03 season.

However, the Old Lady have been playing well in the Champions League this season, and they will certainly be hoping to give a tough competition to the defending champions in the semifinals.
