Marco Reus scored a late goal against Real Madrid to help Borussia Dortmund top their group and set a new Champions League record as Tottenham finally found their winning touch at Wembley. Juventus were all smiles after their main man found his scoring boots again, while Leicester were brought back down to Champions League earth by a rampant FC Porto.

Needing a win against Dortmund to top Group F, Real Madrid seemed to be doing just that when Karim Benzema out them 2-0 up, scoring the first goal just before the half hour, before doubling the advantage at the Bernabeu in the 53rd minute.

However, Dortmund, coming off a crazy 8-4 win over Legia Warsaw in their last Champions League match, found a way back into the contest via their marquee striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Marco Reus, who might well have been playing for Real Madrid had injuries not troubled him throughout his career, had the last say, netting with two minutes to go to give Borussia Dortmund a 2-2 draw and push them towards a record that had only been equalled by Barcelona on Tuesday. While Barca scored 20 goals in the group stages, Dortmund went one better with 21, making it the most any team have scored in this stage of the Champions League.

Legia Warsaw will play in the Europa League next year, after Gulherme's 30th minute strike proved to be enough to beat Sporting Lisbon.

In Group E, Tottenham ensured they would have some European competition to look forward to at the turn of the year, with Dele Alli inspiring a 3-1 win over CSKA Moscow. Alli equalised for Spurs after Alan Dzagoev had given CSKA the lead, before Harry Kane struck what proved to be the winner just before halftime. Alli then forced an own goal off goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev to seal the victory and Tottenham's first win at Wembley.

Leicester City will go through from Group G as winners, but they finished their group stage engagements on a sour note, after Porto fired in five goals past Claudio Ranieri's side. FC Copenhagen, despite beating pointless Club Brugge, had to settle for third after Porto's emphatic victory, which saw Andre Silva grab a brace.

Juventus finished Group H on top, with Gonzalo Higuain breaking a month-long goal drought to fire the Italian champions to a 2-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb. Sevilla held Lyon, who needed a win by two clear goals to go through, to a goalless draw to join Juventus in the round of 16.
