Arsenal have had this habit of facing the best team of that particular season in the last 16 stage, but for this season's Champions League they will face one of the big sides in the group stages with Arsene Wenger's men drawing Bayern Munich.

The rest of the Group F is made of Olympiakos, a team the Gunners have played quite a few times in the recent past, and Dinamo Zagreb.

Holders Barcelona have some serious football to play in the group stages this season, having drawn Bayer Leverkusen, Roma and BATE Borisov, while Real Madrid play PSG, Shakhtar Donetsk and Malmo, who beat Celtic in the playoffs to get to the group stage. Apart from the obvious Real Madrid vs PSG clash, the other tasty encounter of Group A will be Malmo vs PSG as Zlatan Ibrahimovic returns home.

"It will be fun for Zlatan to come back home," Malmo assistant coach Olof Persson told UEFA's official website. "It'll be fantastic for the fans to see him and the other stars. I think he will be welcomed the way he always is when he comes home -- like the king of Malmo that he is.

"In sporting terms we have been placed in a pretty tough spot. If we get a home match late in the year against the big ones, maybe they won't be that keen on playing in Sweden. After what we showed last year I think all teams realise that it will be tough to come to Malmo."

Manchester United, making their return to the Champions League, after a one-year hiatus, have been given a kindish draw – at least on paper -- with Louis Van Gaal's men running into Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven, Russian side CSKA Moscow and the dangerous German club Wolfsburg.

Van Gaal will know, apart from Wolfsburg, the matches against the other two teams should be winnable.

In Group G, Jose Mourinho will return to face the team that made him famous – FC Porto – with Dynamo Kyiv and Maccabi Tel Aviv making up the rest of the group.

Manchester City, having played against Barcelona for a couple of seasons, have another difficult group to navigate through – the group of death this year -- having drawn last year's finalists Juventus, along with the Europa League winners Sevilla and Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach.

Meanwhile, Celia Sasic was named UEFA's Best Women's Player in Europe, while Barcelona wonder Lionel Messi beat out his teammate Luis Suarez and Real Madrid superstar and current Ballon d'Or holder Cristiano Ronaldo to the UEFA Best Men's Player in Europe award.
