Real Madrid go into their penultimate La Liga match on Wednesday, May 17, against Celta Vigo and a win can take them closer to the Spanish league 2016-17 title this season. At this stage, for Real Madrid, the only way to keep FC Barcelona aside from the title challenge is to record nothing, but a win.

Currently, both Barca and Real are level on points, but the Los Blancos have a match in hand.

Ranking Team Matches left Goal difference Points
1 FC Barcelona 1 77 87
2 Real Madrid 2 60 87

Celta are definitely the underdogs, but playing in front of their home fans on Wednesday, they would be looking to overturning their horrific form at the moment of five defeats in a row.

Both sides will be getting a good result for them.

Except Gareth Bale, Zinedine Zidane has a relatively fit squad for the match and it remains to be seen if the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema can really inflict damage, as they are expected to.

Expected starting XI

Real Madrid: Keylor Navas; Danilo, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo; Casemiro, Modric, Kroos; Isco, Ronaldo; Benzema.

Celta Vigo: Alvarez; Mallo, Roncaglia, Cabral, Jonny; Hernandez, Radoja, Aspas, Wass; Sisto, Guidetti.
