Back in June, Celkon hit headlines with the launch of the cheapest Android KitKat smartphone – Campus A35K. Now, the Hyderabad-based company is back in the news with the Win 400, country's ultra-affordable Windows Phone 8.1 OS based handset.
Celkon's Win 400 is the company's first smartphone to run on the Microsoft's mobile operating system and becomes the fourth domestic player after Micromax, Xolo and Karbonn Mobiles to offer Windows Phone OS-powered devices in the Indian market.
The new Celkon Win 400 sports 4.0-inch WVGA display and is powered by the 1.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 series quad-core CPU, 512MB RAM, 4GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB) and 1,500mAh battery, which can run the phone up to 200 hours under standby mode.

As of now, Celkon Win 400 has been released via online store Snapdeal for just ₹4,999. Details of wider availability of the phone through brick-and-mortar stores across India are awaited from the company in the coming days.
Competition:
As said before, this sub-₹5,000 priced Win 400 is the cheapest Windows Phone 8.1 OS-based handset. Going by the specifications, it is a smart buy for the first-time smartphone user. And it is certain to pose a threat to the Windows operating system software maker, Microsoft, which launched Lumia 535 in India just a day ago. Win 400 will also be competing with Micromax's Win W121, W092, Xolo Q900s, Karbonn Titanium Wind W4 and also the old Nokia branded Lumia 530 & 525.
