Defending champions Telugu Warriors will clash with Bhojpuri Dabanggs in the second semi-final match of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL 6) on Saturday, Feb. 13. The match is being played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad.

Both Telugu Warriors and Bhojpuri Dabanggs have played like champions in CCL 6. While the Tollywood team narrowly lost matches in the league stage, the Bhojpuri team emerged victorious in all its clashes.


Telugu Warriors started the season beating Kerala Strikers convincingly by five wickets. They also defeated the runners-up of last season, Chennai Rhinos, by eight wickets.

But then the Tollywood team lost against Karnataka Bulldozers. In a nail-biting match, Telugu Warriors failed lost by just five runs.

On the other end, Bhojpuri Dabanggs started the season by thrashing Bengal Tigers by 68 runs. It was followed by a convincing victory against Punjab De Sher. In its last match, the team beat Mumbai Heroes by seven wickets.

While Telugu Warriors on Saturday have the advantage of playing on their home ground, Bhojpuri Dabanggs are confident of their side after winning all three matches in the league stage.

Telugu Warriors beat Bhojpuri Dabanggs by 20 runs to enter the CCL 6 final. The Tollywood team had hit 177 runs and it managed to defend the score. Bhojpuri Dabanggs had a good start but it lost the wickets at regular intervals. As a result, the Bhojpuri team, which had won all three matches in the league stage, missed an opportunity to enter the final.

The Tollywood team batted, bowled and fielded well and it deserved to be in the last stage. Telugu Warriors will face Karnataka Bulldozers in the final to be played in the same ground on Sunday, Feb 14.
