Celebrities thronged the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences' annual Oscar nominees luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Monday.

Most of the nominees for the 85th Academy Awards attended the cocktail party. Celebrities like Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Jennifer Lawrence, Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Christoph Waltz, Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts, Denzel Washington and several others added glamour to the event.

Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron spoke at the event and gave tips on how to give awards acceptance speeches. Zadan told the Oscar nominees to speak from their hearts and not from a piece of paper if they receive one.
