The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced that the results of Class 12 examinations will be out at 10 am on 27 May, putting an end to the weeks of speculation regarding the declaration of the board exam results.

Students can access the result from the official CBSE results website, www.cbseresults.nic.in  from 10 am onwards on Monday. The site also provides the facility to get school-vise results via e-mail. For this, schools will have to register with their affiliation code, examination/school code, and e-mail address.

The results can also be accessed via websites www.cbse.nic.in, www.results.nic.in, other than the official CBSE results website. Students can also check their marks through Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). Residents of Delhi can access the results by dialing 24300699, while those outside Delhi need to dial (011) 24300699.

The results are accessible via SMS also. MTS subscribers need to text "cbse12" to 543216, 57766 for BSNL subscribers; 5800001 for Aircel; 5207011 for Airtel; 50000 for Vodafone; 9212357123 for NIC; 57272 for Jagran; 54321, 51234, 5333300 for Indicom and Docomo.

More than ten lakh students across the country appeared for the Class 12 board exams. The examinations were held from 1-17 March. With the announcement of the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) scores on 7 May, the student community is keenly looking forward to their CBSE Class 12 results.

As most of the state exam results were announced beforehand, institutes had begun distributing admission forms in advance and many have commenced admission procedures. The delay in the declaration of CBSE results had led to frustration among students and parents alike, who are worried that any further delay would narrow down the prospects of getting admission to an institute of their choice.
