Indian carmakers are mulling a price hike on all their vehicles for 2018 owing to higher input costs. While Maruti Suzuki, Skoda, Tata, Toyota, Jeep and Honda have already announced their decision to increase prices on their models, other manufacturers are expected to follow suit.

Take a look at the quantum of the price hikes envisaged.

Jeep India

FCA India will increase the price of its new compact SUV Compass in India from January 2018. The cost of the new Compass will go up by 2-4 percent, except for the entry-level variant. The Compass comes in three trims - Sport, Longitude and Limited.

Maruti Suzuki

Maruti Suzuki India, the country's leading carmaker will increase prices of its models by up to 2 percent from January in order to partially offset the rise in input costs. The price hike will be applicable to the company's Nexa and regular dealership models.

Maruti Suzuki currently sells a range of models from hatchback Alto 800 with price starting at Rs 2.45 lakh to premium crossover S-Cross priced at Rs 11.29 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).

Ford India

Ford India is set to increase the prices of its models by up to four percent in a bid to partially offset the impact of rising input costs. The price hike will be effective from January 2018. The price hike would affect all products of Ford including its recently launched the new Ford EcoSport.

Tata Motors

Tata Motors is all set to increase prices of its passenger vehicles from January 1, 2018. The home-grown carmaker will hike the prices of its entire passenger vehicles by up to Rs 25,000. The introductory prices of the recently launched Nexon compact SUV will go up. Apart from Nexon, the prices of new models such as the Tiago hatchback, Tigor compact sedan and Hexa SUV will also rise. Prices of the long-standing models in Tata's stable like the Safari, Sumo, Indica and Indigo will be revised.

Toyota

Toyota is likely to hike prices of its models by up to 3 percent from January 2018, owing to periodical rise in input and freight costs. The prices of its popular models like the Innova Crysta and Fortuner will also go up.

Honda Cars India

Honda Cars India will increase prices of its models by up to Rs 25,000 from January 1, 2018. Honda's current range in India, from hatchback Brio to Accord Hybrid, are priced in the range of Rs 4.66 lakh to 43.21 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Isuzu

Isuzu India will increase prices of its models by up to Rs 1 lakh from January 1, 2018. The increase is expected to be between 3 and 4 percent across the model range, which means that prices will go up by around Rs 15,000 on the D-Max to Rs 1 lakh on the premium SUV MU-X .

Skoda India

The Czech carmaker Skoda announced that the company will hike the prices of its models in India from January 1. The price hike will be in the range of 2 to 3 percent. Skoda's India portfolio includes four models--Rapid, Octavia, Superb and the recently launched Kodiaq SUV, priced between Rs 8.20 lakh to Rs 34.50 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
