Katrina Kaif, one of the brand ambassadors of L'Oreal Paris in India, will not be attending Cannes International Film Festival 2016, and the reason is the actress' prior commitments.

Katrina had made her debut at Cannes last year and impressed all with her red-carpet appearance. However, she regrets not being able to walk the Cannes 2016 red carpet. "Cannes is a fabulous platform for any artiste to attend, and I really enjoyed the experience last year. While the brand invited me to attend Cannes again this year, I have had to regretfully decline the opportunity due to prior commitments," Katrina said in a statement to Indo-Asian News Service.

The "Fitoor" actress has a couple of upcoming movies this year, including "Jagga Jasoos" and "Baar Baar Dekho," which has been keeping her busy. "This has been an enormously busy year for me so far and I am working on some amazing projects which are really keeping me on my toes. Although, I will be missing Cannes this year, I wish that the lovely L'Oreal Paris ambassadors, who will proudly represent India the very best and I hope to attend next year," said Katrina.

L'Oreal Paris India General Manager Raagjeet Garg has also expressed regret at not having Katrina at Cannes 2016. "Katrina had a glorious debut at Cannes last year and was one of the most-spoken-about L'Oreal Paris ambassadors at the platform. Unfortunately, she is unable to attend the event this year due to some prior commitments. We absolutely respect her dedication to her work and are going to miss her magic at Cannes 2016," IANS quoted Garg as saying.

The other two Indian brand ambassadors of L'Oreal Paris — Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor — will be present at the big event slated to be held from May 11 to May 22 in France.
